VARSITY FIELD

Varsity Field serves as the home of the Butler women's lacrosse team. The Varsity Field Project was completed in the Fall of 2016. The general contractor for the project was Wurster Construction in Indianapolis, Indiana and the 103752 Sq. Ft. synthetic turf surface was installed by Shaw Sports Turf in Calhoun, Georgia. Several additional sub-contractors were also used for the project. The scope of the project included construction of the new turf facility on the location of the former Varsity Field on West Campus. This project included all drainage, anchors, concreate slabs, brick pillars, main entrance, decorative fencing, bleachers, backstop netting, equipment storage, a new Nevco scoreboard w/ possession clocks, flag poles, and a new sound system including audio equipment & speakers, etc.
